INDONESIA AIR FORCE TO BE BRIEFED ON LCA TEJAS?

According to Indian media reports, Government of Indonesia through official channels has asked Indian government about details on indigenously developed LCA-Tejas combat jet.
Accordingly, India is planning to brief Indonesian air force on the technical aspect of LCA-Tejas followed up with detail proposal if Indonesian air force is interested in the purchase of LCA-Tejas combat jet.
Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) is looking to replace Northrop F-5E Tiger II fighters procured in the 80’s. As per TNI-AU initial requirement of 16 aircraft for about USD1.5 billion.
Indonesian Air Force already has been briefed by SAAB on Gripen C/D version and also has offered new Gripen E version, which was rolled out by the company in May at its Linköping production plant in Sweden last year.
Indonesian Air Force also operates 16 Mix of Su-27SK/SKM and Su-30MKK/MK2 multirole Jet and is also highly interested in the purchase of Sukhoi-35 but due to procurement cost deal has been stuck.
